How EV fleet leasing works with YoMobility
Getting an electric vehicle for lease and onto the road, in five steps:
Tell us your fleet: vehicle class, how many, which city and what the vehicles will do.
We arrange the lease: we match you with our leasing partners and NBFC financiers, and you lease the vehicles from them on a 7-year term.
Onboard every vehicle on YoMobility: vehicles are identified by VIN, VID or MAC ID and linked to your fleet, so every charge bills the right entity.
Charge from day one: create your account, top up the fleet wallet over UPI, and your drivers can charge on 80% of India’s charging infrastructure, with Plug & Charge where it’s available.
One invoice for every charge: one consolidated GST invoice per billing period, broken down by vehicle, driver, station, tariff and amount.

Lease or buy an electric fleet?
Leasing isn’t right for every fleet. Weigh it up on four questions:
Cash
Do you want to keep capital for operations instead of tying it up in vehicles?
Technology risk
How much battery and resale-value risk do you want to carry?
Term
Will you run the vehicles for the length of the lease?
Tax
How do lease rentals and ownership compare for your GST input tax credit and depreciation? Ask your accountant.

EV fleet leasing: questions fleets ask
What is EV fleet leasing?
EV fleet leasing means your business pays to use electric vehicles for a fixed term instead of buying them outright. If you're comparing electric vehicle fleet leasing companies in India, check the vehicle classes they offer, the term, what the rental includes and how you'll charge and track the vehicles.
Which electric vehicles can I lease through YoMobility?
Electric trucks, buses, cars and LCVs. Tell us the class and how many you need, and we'll go through the options on a call.
Who provides the lease?
Our leasing partners and NBFC financiers. YoMobility arranges the lease and the financing with them; it isn't the lessor.
How long is an EV lease, and is there a minimum fleet size?
The EV lease term is 7 years, and there's no minimum fleet size. Rentals depend on the vehicle class, fleet size and city, so book a call and we'll walk you through them.
Is the YoMobility platform included?
Yes. Each vehicle is onboarded by VIN, VID or MAC ID. You then see its state of charge, location and battery health, set charging limits per driver and vehicle, and get one consolidated GST invoice for every charge.
Where can my drivers charge?
Once your account and fleet wallet are set up, drivers can charge on 80% of India's charging infrastructure across multiple networks, with Plug & Charge where it's available. You pay through one wallet and one invoice.
Is leasing better than buying for an EV fleet?
It depends on your cash position, how long you'll run the vehicles and how much resale risk you want to carry. Our EV leasing vs buying guide walks through the trade-offs.
